Harvest Festival Service

Harvest Festival Service at 11am followed by lunch at 1pm 14th October. All welcome. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased from Kerry Veale (790320). Box in the church porch for donations of tins and dry food goods to be taken to the Food Bank. Money raised at the lunch will be donated to charity. 

Llanmaes Photographic Competition

A huge thank you to those who submitted their photographs for the recent competition, we received some great images of the people and local environment. Many people enjoyed viewing the entries in the village hall during the fete yesterday. The winners for each category have been chosen and are as follows.

The winner of the People of Llanmaes and relatives category is Darren Green with his image entitled 'Three generations and evening Grass'.

The winner of the built or natural environment category is Richard Hughes with his image entitled  'A sign of winter'

The winners will be contact shortly to receive their free meal for two vouchers at The Blacksmiths Arms.

Llanmaes Village Fete

Llanmaes Social Committee are hosting their Village Fete on Saturday 7th July. We still need items of ladies clothing , shoes handbags etc for Vintage Rose stall, bottles for our Bottle stall and to our bakers in the Village we need cakes for our cake stall

Bake for Bobath

You are invited to join us for a coffee morning at Brown Lion House, Llanmaes on Friday 9th March between 10.30 and 12.30. Coffee and cakes will be served and there will be a raffle with prizes. 

Bobath Cymru is a Welsh charity giving specialist therapy and support to children in Wales with Cerebal Palsy (this is still a significant problem as it's a complication for premature babies, which are treated more successfully nowadays)

Llanmaes Community Council news

The Clerk of Llanmaes Community Council [LCC] achieves National qualification.

Carole Alexander, Clerk to LCC, has successfully completed the Certificate in Local Council Administration [CiLCA, 2015]. The award, at Level 3 of the national Qualification Framework [NQF], means that Carole is qualified in all the core knowledge and skills for working within a local council. Carole has wide experience of working in local government and we are very lucky to have such a professional and capable Clerk. Our congratulations and well-done.

Blacksmiths Arms Christmas jumper day in aid of Noah's Ark

Show your support for a worthy charity by turning up at the Blacksmiths Arms on 15th December wearing a Christmas jumper and make your donation to the Noah's Ark.

You'll be helping to support life-saving care of premature and critically ill babies needing specialist care in your community

Llanmaes Seniors Christmas Lunch

Tis almost the season to be Merry! With that in mind, we are now taking booking for the 2017 Llanmaes Seniors Christmas Lunch. A very popular and well attended lunch for all the village senior residents. 2017 sees a return to The Blacksmiths Arms, it will be held on Thursday 14th December at 12:30, food served at 1pm. Raffle on the day and entertainment in the form of Barbershop Christmas singing by Cardiff Style.
