The Heritage Coast Social Link Group
Llanmaes WI belongs to this group, which is made up of 5 local WI's. Group meetings are held twice a year. There is a group committee consisting of 2 members from each WI. The function of the group is to encourage members from neighboring WI's to get to know each other and.group events are held during the year.
Glamorgan Federation of Women's Institutes acts as an umbrella body for all the WI's in Glamorgan. There are several committees that arrange events and activities to cater for the needs and interests of members.

National Federation of Women's Institutes is an even bigger umbrella for all the WI's in England and Wales. An AGM with delegates from all WI groups is held every year at venues throughout the country. Members can apply to attend AGMs as observers.

Denman College is the WI's own residential college near Oxford. Llanmaes WI has a bursary for members which is drawn for at the AGM. There are many courses to interest everybody. The NFWI training centre is located within the grounds.
Associated Country Women of the World is a world-wide oragisation to which the NFWI belongs. Each WI donates small amounts to ACWW, this money is used to help underprivileged women in third world countries. There is a voluntary collection for these Coins for Friendship, as they are called, at our meetings.
There is a GFWI newsletter which Llanmaes buys for all its members. WI Life is a magazine full of news and articles, published 8 times a year by NRWI as part of the membership subscription. It is delivered directly to members' homes. The WI sells books on various subjects along with other publications and gifts through Federation office and at some events. WI diaries and calendars are also available each autumn.
